It’s been a long time coming, but 2024 saw me take a long-awaited leap into the pod-a-sphere and I am now the writer, editor, presenter and producer of three podcasts! The first of these is a collaboration with Nick Homer, (my bro), where we talk about all things Chelsea FC, including the men and women’s senior sides as well as the academy teams. This is all part of a show called The Bridge Brothers Podcast where we also cover football league and non-league chat in our “Beyond the Bridge” segment. Alongside The Bridge Brothers Podcast, Nick takes the reins for our second show FPL Bridge Brothers. This focuses on our experiences of the popular football game Fantasy Premier League as well as the Aerial Fantasy Women’s Super League. In recent episodes, we have been airing our frustrations that while FPL continues to thrive, the Aerial Fantasy app has been discontinued at the end of this 25/26 season!

The third podcast is titled Homer’s Podyssey: Conversations on Purpose. This features me interviewing guests from the worlds of music, theatre, film, politics, science and more! The title of this podcast is a pun on my name and references the most famous work of my Ancient Greek namesake. In keeping with the themes outlined in Homer’s epic poem, I will also be attempting to shape my knowledge and experience through my meetings with different interviewees. With regards to the podcast’s subtitle, “Conversations on Purpose,” I went double pun as I wanted to find a word which unifies the different discussions that I hope to have on the show. That word, for me, was “purpose” and could apply to anything from composing music to conducting scientific research. It could also help describe efforts to create a sense of community in a local area or doing your best to support a loved one.
